Trinity’s Guide to Internet Trolls

Hey there traveller, are you having trouble with trolls? N-No, not the ones that live under bridges, Internet Trolls. Y'know, the jerks who annoy you until you break and then annoy you some more? Yeah, those guys. Well, luckily for you I've got some experience with trolls, whether it be from being one for a bit or to winning an argument against one! Now, allow me to explain how to defend yourself from trolls and tell if they're a troll! This'll be a fun one..

~Part One: How to Defend Yourself From Trolls~

Alright, lets get started! So, you want to learn how to defend yourself from trolls, huh? Alright, well, there are a few things you can do. Lets start with the most common one, ignoring them. Ignoring and reporting trolls is effective, as they'll get annoyed and quit bothering you if you ignore them for long enough. Reporting them will most likely make sure they'll be banned, but you may need a picture for proof. However, this won't work for the more persistent one's as ignoring them apparently seems to say, "Hey, look at me! I'm another victim waiting to be trolled!" When this happens, usually ignoring them won't work anymore. "But Trinity!" you protest. "How am I supposed to defend myself if ignoring them doesn't work and arguing with them is near impossible?!" Well, I'm about to get to that. If they're persistent or you just don't like people walking all over you, there's one more thing you can do.
You can argue with them calmly. Show them that what they say isn't bothering you at all, and they'll go crazy. However...

~Part Two: Telling if They're a Troll~

Sometimes you'll think that somebody's trolling on Youtube/Twitter/ToS or whatever you people are into by them saying "h3y i thnk dis is bad vid man" or whatever. So, you'll comment "gr8 b8 m8" to show you aren't phased by this, and then they'll comment: "n0t b8 i was srious." And then you'll feel like a moron and be like "sorry I'm so sorry" and then leave the page. Then curl up into a little ball and cry because you feel like an idiot. This is where things get tricky because you can never truly tell if they're a troll or if they're serious on things like Youtube or whatever. And even sometimes if they're serious, you'll be compelled to argue with them due to the stupidity of their comment. Once I actually got into an argument about a guy who claimed that Sans remembered Genocide after you re--I'm getting off topic. Anyways, it's hard to tell on social websites like Youtube or Twitter, but in-game, it's usually pretty easy to tell as they'll be making remarks the same time you read them.

Alright everyone, that's about it! Have a great day and remember, never anger Meliodas from Nanatsu No Taizai or you're gonna have a bad time!
